About Your Guide

 

Dana has a genuine desire to share her love of camping with people of all ages and walks of life! She has camped with 3 month old babies all the way up to taking her Dad camping for his 80th birthday! She has been camping ever since she was born and was a Girl Scout for 12 years. She pursued her love for the outdoors by teaching Physical Education, Health, and Biology for 20 years. Dana has been guiding families and groups camping for over 15 years. She has served as a Corporate Team Building Facilitator at the US National White Water Center. She currently works part-time as a Paraprofessional for the Boy Scouts of America serving inner-city youth and people with intellectectual and developmental disabilities. Dana is certified in First Aid, CPR, Blood borne Pathogens, Defensive Driving and Youth Protection. She has worked extensively with children and teens with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Dana is very knowledgeable of all aspects of camping and is very detail oriented. She specializes in customizing a unique camping experience for your families or groups. Her other hobbies include painting, woodcarving, gardening and cooking.
